Bruce also mentions that he played the song with the Castiles in 1966:
" Slim had a swamp groove, made him a favorite of all the '60s blues-rock British combos such as The Rolling Stones, who did a nice cover of "King Bee". As did The Castiles, back in 1966."

During The 'From My Home to Yours' series Episode 28 Bruce talks about Slim Harpo :
" That's one of my favorite bluesmen, Slim Harpo. "I'm Talkin'", "I'm a king bee, buzzin' around your hive". I'm talkin', "Rainin' in my heart". I'm talkin', "Got love if you want it"", got love if you want it". I'm talkin', (sings), "Come here baby, scratch my back". All Slim Harpo. Bad ass. Great, great groove. Born in Lobdell, Louisiana, influenced by Jimmy Reed, my other favorite bluesman. Slim had a swamp groove, made him a favorite of all the '60s blues-rock British combos such as The Rolling Stones, who did a nice cover of "King Bee". As did The Castiles, back in 1966. Now "Baby Scratch My Back", of course, that was a huge hit, reaching Number. 1 in the R&B charts and making all the way to No. 16 in the pop charts. "Oh yeah, baby, scratch my back".
Lyrics
Well, I'm a king bee, buzzin' around your hive
Well, I'm a king bee, buzzin' around your hive
Well, I can make honey, baby, let me come inside
I'm young and able to buzz all night long
I'm young and able to buzz all night long
Well, when you hear me buzzin', baby
Some stingin' is going on
Well, buzz a while
Sting it, then
Well, I'm a king bee, want you to be my queen
Well, I'm a king bee, want you to be my queen?
Together, we can make honey the world haven't never seen
Well, I'm a king bee, can buzz all night long
Well, I'm a king bee, can buzz all night long
Well, I can buzz better, baby, when your man is gone
