Coverinfo

Bruce performed the song off-Tour together with Lucinda Williams:

During a guest appearance in London. Near the end of the show Bruce took the stage and provided guest rhythm-lead guitar on extended workouts of two songs Joy and Disgusted (each in its first Springsteen performance). Toward the end of the main set, Williams announced a special guest. Springsteen joined her and her three-piece band, strapping on one of guitarist Doug Pettibone's extra guitars, and orange/red Gibson, and took a spot behind bass player Paul Bryan. A night off between The Seeger Sessions Tour shows in Birmingham and London, Bruce Springsteen, along with several members of The Seeger Sessions Tourband, made a surprise guest appearance at a Lucinda Williams show in London.

Lyrics

I don't want you anymore, 'cause you took my joy
I don't want you anymore, you took my joy
You took my joy, I want it back
You took my joy, I want it back

I'm gonna go to West Memphis and look for my joy
Go to West Memphis and look for my joy
Maybe in West Memphis I'll find my joy
Maybe in West Memphis I'll find my joy

I'm gonna go to Slidell and look for my joy
Go to Slidell and look for my joy
Maybe in Slidell I'll find my joy
Maybe in Slidell I'll find my joy

[Instrumental break]

You got no right to take my joy, I want it back
You got no right to take my joy, I want it back
You took my joy, I want it back
You took my joy, I want it back

I'm gonna go to West Memphis and look for my joy
Go to West Memphis and look for my joy
Maybe in West Memphis I'll find my joy
Maybe in West Memphis I'll find my joy

I'm gonna go to Slidell and look for my joy
Go to Slidell and look for my joy
Maybe in Slidell I'll find my joy
Maybe in Slidell I'll find my joy

[Instrumental break]

I don't want you anymore, 'cause you took my joy
I don't want you anymore, you took my joy
You took my joy, I want it back
You took my joy, I want it back
